Design Brief || to re-design a large family garden, enhancing the original garden features whilst retaining the existing mature trees and shrubs.
The design concept for this garden was to retain as much of the lawn as possible for recreation, whilst improving the tired planting beds to incorporate a more modern and dynamic scheme that still felt within keeping of this 19th Century house. The introduction of herbaceous perennials, bulbs and small shrubs alongside a wide mix of different grasses created a look that was reminiscent of an old English garden but with a dynamic twist that ran through the seasons from early spring into late winter.
